The efficiency of linear Fresnel reflectors in producing superheated steam for power plant drive

Solar energy is one of the most important sources renewable energies, which widely used in many fields, such as electricity production through direct superheated steam based on Linear Fresnel Reflector. This study aims to show optical and thermal behavior linear solar reflectors field directed El-Oued region at Algeria. Four days different weather data have been selected track change performance. Numerical modeling has shown that performance reached 53.60 %, while numerical solution balance equations receiver tube proved efficiency was 37.3 % average loss coefficient limited between 5.72 5.98 W/m²K. As for temperature, lowest value recorded December with a 501 K. The results obtained are very compelling encouraging invest this low-cost technology.
